Every change to Trabeate's legal documents, in plain language.

Newest first. These documents are kept in version control, and from the first amendment onward each entry links to the commit that made the change, so you can see exactly what was edited.

Version 1.0 carries no such link: it was drafted before these documents were under version control, so there is no commit to point at.

What these say, in short​

Trabeate is currently a waitlist. The only information we ask you for is your email address, and we use it to tell you when Trabeate is ready. We also receive basic technical information — your IP address, device type, and operating system — the way any website does.

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or track you across other websites. Trabeate runs entirely on Amazon Web Services, which is currently our only service provider.

Trabeate is software that performs calculations using assumptions you choose. It is not an adviser, and nothing it produces is an appraisal or a guarantee of any investment result.

Worth knowing about this first version​

  • We describe device type and operating system collection before it ships. That feature is being built. We are disclosing it in advance rather than adding it quietly later.
  • We do not claim compliance with any privacy framework. Trabeate is below the size threshold of every US state privacy law. We offer the rights those laws describe anyway, without claiming a status we do not hold.
  • The Disclaimer is a separate document, not a buried clause. For a tool that produces financial projections, it is the most important thing we publish.
  • No binding arbitration. You keep your right to go to court.
  • New Jersey residents: Terms §22 states specifically how these Terms apply to you, rather than using generic language about "some jurisdictions."
